/01 CHALLENGE
Develop a product concept that benefits and furthers wildlife conservation.
As one of Canada's most biologically diverse province, British Columbia is home to many rare species or species at risk. Of the 3,808 native species in BC, 6% are of global conservation concern and 43% are of provincial conservation concern.
Due to the increasing commercial and industrial development and natural resource extraction, BC’s species are left to fend for themselves against climate change, toxic contamination, urban spread, and logging.
/02 SOLUTION
Protecting our wildlife one bite at a time.
Wild Snax is a healthy snacks company that provides artisan granola bars. However, they not only provide snacks with an excellent mix of texture and flavour, but also believe that protecting wildlife is vital to both our survival and humanity. That is why they have partnered with different wildlife conservation efforts across the lower mainland to enforce their vision of a world where wildlife are respected and protected. With every purchase, 10% will be donated to various efforts.
The conceptual inspiration for this brand was vitality and playfulness. Vibrant, contrasting colours with an illustrative approach portray the wildlife species within their habitat.
